The Ethnographic Museum of Artziniega

The Ethnographic Museum of Artziniega is located in a beautiful medieval town of the same name in the north of Alava. It was created in 1984, and enlarged in 2004, as a homage to the human being, which is the essence of this museum.

This museum, managed by the Ethnographic Association Artea, houses a large and varied exhibition space of 3,700 square meters. In a restored historical building distributed in 17 large halls, the visitor can enjoy the portrayal of rural and urban lifestyles of the region's inhabitants. In addition, in an annexed building there are the Landaluce's shoemaker's, the classical mechanic workshop and the traditional animals of the Basque summer solstice. There is also a hall where different activities and exhibitions are organized.
