Aresketamendi: a Renewable Energy Park

The Renewable Energy Park of Aresketamendi is devoted to air, sun, water and bio-mass, and includes 26 inventions related to energy; it is a place where children and adults can try this equipment and see how it works.

The Municipality of Amurrio, in its determined commitment towards sustainability, has transformed part of Aresketamendi's mountain environment into a place devoted to transmitting the concept of renewable energies linked to the sun, water, wind, bio-mass... in a didactical and recreational fashion.

The park is an open-air exhibition area of 22,600 m2 in which a wooden spiral, of almost 1 km introduces you into the different areas of the park displaying the several inventions, interactive devices, models and panels it features related to the different energy sources: the water, wind, sun, land... those that transmit the energy principles committed to by sustainable development.

Timetable:

  • Winter (October-March): Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 until 14:00.
  • Summer (April-September): Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 until 14:00 and from 16:00 until 20:00. Sundays from 10:00 until 14:00.
  • Mondays, including festivities, closed.

Entry: Adults: 4 € / Children from 5 to 16 years: 2,5 € (younger than 5 years free) / Groups (more than 15 people): 3 €/person / Nekatur Clients: 3 € / Retired people: 3€.
